I am a founding member of AMITI, an organization of and for Plastic Artists and Musicians in Israel. Despite early (from the age of about 14) training as a painter/printmaker, I have worked as a practicing graphic designer for many years. Returning recently to printmaking (and turning to sculpture as well), I have a new perspective and new ideas that inform the discussion of what is space and how it is defined. Professional Organizations:

  • Membership in the AMITI Group of Musicians and Plastic Artists

  • Jerusalem Artists' Coalition.

After graduation from college I did a variety of odd jobs (some were very odd indeed). My big break came when, through a serendipitous confluence of events, I was hired by the Latin Division of the International Headquarters of the Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City as a paste-up artist (a paste-up artist might be described as the seamy underside of the lowest part of the bottom-most rung of the “commercial art” ladder. )

After a few years of “learning the ropes” in several different studios, a little proverbial help from my friends and a lot of independent study, I started my own successful graphic design studio in Corporate Woods (an upscale office complex in Overland Park Kansas). After fulfilling all my dreams in a few short years (much to my surprise), I realized the need to start life anew and, with my family, made the big move to Israel where I live and work today.

In the past few years I also taught Computer Graphics for the Israeli Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. This course was recognized by the Ministry as the most successful in the country. Currently I am employed as a graphic designer during the day, and spend my evenings and weekends working in my print studio.
